The 4th Training Session of China-AALCO Exchange and Research Program on International Law (CAERP) will be held from 3 to 14 September 2018 in Beijing and from 15 to 21 September 2018 in Hong Kong, People’s Republic of China.
The establishment of CAERP was announced in mid-April 2015 by the Government of China during its hosting of the 54th Annual Session in Beijing. Fully funded by the Government of China and open to all Member States of AALCO, CAERP is designed as a long-term facility to support the progress of AALCO and better fulfillment of the Organization’s objectives and missions. It aims to promote exchange and dialogue, share good practices, experience and knowledge, and enhance capacity-building in the field of international law among AALCO Member States. It also aims to support the work and activities of AALCO, through organizing and funding seminars and training sessions for officials of Member States, facilitating research on major international law issues of common interest, and providing support to relevant working groups and expert meetings established by AALCO.
As an integral part of the CAERP, and based on the valuable feedback provided by the participants of previous sessions, 4th session will continue to provide a wide range of courses on international law in Beijing and Hong Kong. The courses will be delivered in English and will be of both academic and practical value. Additionally, the 4th session will also include visits to various government bodies of China.
The Government of China will cover all training costs, including flight tickets, accommodation, meals and transportation to and from airport for participants from Member States of AALCO [except those from developed economies (Japan, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Cyprus)] and the Secretariat, It will cover all travel costs except flight tickets, for participants from developed economies (Japan, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Cyprus).
All the participants are recommended to purchase health insurance before attending the training session.
