Memorandum of Understanding between the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization and Doshisha University, 13 May 2021

On 13 May 2021, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) and the Faculty and Graduate School of Law, Doshisha University, Japan. H.E. Prof. Dr. Kennedy Gastorn, Secretary-General, AALCO and Prof. Kajiyama Tamaka, Dean, Faculty and Graduate School of Law, Doshisha University signed the MoU on behalf of the respective organizations.

The Faculty and Graduate School of Law, Doshisha University, Japan, is one of the globally renowned academic and research institutions and the field of international law with the purpose to promote academic exchanges among legal communities across the globe and encourage research on major international issues.

The MoU signed aims to promote cooperation on the matters of common interests in the field of International Law by organizing joint training programmes, workshops and seminars for government officials, academic scholars, young diplomats and in house research staffs.

It also aims to carry out joint studies, projects and cooperate on conducting certified training programmes for professionals and practitioners of international law in areas such as Mediations with a particular focus on Asia and Africa.
