EXTRATERRITORIAL APPLICATION OF NATIONAL LEGISLATION: SANCTIONS IMPOSED AGAINST THIRD PARTIES
On the recommendation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the topic ‘Extraterritorial Application of National Legislation: Sanctions Imposed Against Third Parties’ was first deliberated at the Thirty-Sixth Annual Session of AALCO held in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran (1997).
Pursuant to the mandate received at the Annual Sessions the Secretariat has prepared the following three special studies on the topic:
- AALCO Preliminary Study on “Extraterritorial Application of National Legislation: Sanctions Imposed against Third Parties” of 1997
- AALCO Special Study on “Unilateral and Secondary Sanctions: An International Law Perspective” of 2014
- Extraterritorial Application of National Legislation: Sanctions Imposed against Third Parties (2021)
The topic was last deliberated at the Fifty-Eighth Annual Session of AALCO held in Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania (2019).
