H.E. Dr. Kamalinne Pinitpuvadol, Secretary General of AALCO attended the twenty-first session of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court held in the Hague, from 5-10 December 2022.
The Secretary General in his presentation highlighted the strong relationship between AALCO and the International Criminal Court (ICC) since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the year 2008.
He summarized the activities organized by the AALCO Secretariat with the ICC on numerous occasions. He also spoke of promoting and strengthening the values of the ICC and the Rome Statute framework while safeguarding the interests of the Asian-African regions.
He commended the Assembly of State Parties (ASP) for carrying out its functions in the finest manner and help the Court in fulfilling its mandate in the finest traditions of global peace, justice and accountability.
During his trip, the Secretary General had the opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to Judge Piotr Hofmański, President of the ICC.

The Secretary General also had the opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to Dr. Christophe Bernanconi, Secretary-General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH). Both the Secretaries General discussed about further cooperation on matters of mutual concern and planned about joint activities in the future.

The Secretary-General paid a courtesy visit to the Dr. Hab. Marcin Czepelak, Secretary-General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA). The Secretary General of AALCO was accompanied by H.E. Mr. Chatri Archjananun, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Netherlands. They discussed about the possibilities of future cooperation with AALCO.
